LEGISREPORTS NG – There was a show of shame early this morning in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, as a high court judge using a dark color Toyota 2014 model with registration number HC 05 SJ drove against traffic rules and his police orderly and the police team attached to Unity bank branch along Bekaji road launched attacked on men of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) for stoping the lawless. Judge.
The sad incident which reminded Nigerians of the lawlessness of some privileged top government officials occurred at 8 08am, which created traffic and sharp condemnation of the high court judge unconstitutional attitude regarding the laws of the country.
When the attacked on men of the FRSC was going on, the dark huge judge dress in a rough black suit sat at the back of his official car as the road was Block by FRSC vehicle and angry motorists that wanted to launched attacked on the lawless judge and the policemen carrying out what some people described as illegal duty.
The leader of the FRSC team Inspector S.A Shitta, told LEGISREPORTS who monitor the incident that the judge was driving from the opposite direction of the road risking the lives of other road users.
He said that when the judge was directed to stop the driver refused which forced the FRSC driver to quickly and professionally block the car with the FRSC official vehicle.
“It is shocking to me and my team that those that suppose to defend the our laws are the people breaking the laws, ” he lamented.
Mr. John Daudu, a shop owner opposite the scene of the disgraceful incident called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to punish the Adamawa High Court judge inorder to redeemed it’s named and to proved to Nigerians that the country’s judiciary is not for lawless people.
“If under President Muhammadu Buhari, a judge can gather the courage to abuse the law, then we are in real trouble in this country, how can this judge sit on a case of another person that commit traffic offense,” he ask.
A private car owner who identify himself as Alhaji Abubakar Saidu, who was at scene of the incident commended the men of FRSC for their courage to challenge the judge and urged them to continue to serve the country and not individuals.
“I feel very happy with the zeal and determination of some of our security agents to ensue that the rule of law is respected, if I am in a position to promote this FRSC men on duty here today I would have done it immediately,” he said.
