LEGISREPORTS NG – Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on Thursday said that his foundation would build a secondary school for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)in Yola.
The governor disclosed this in Yola when APC Governors Forum visited the IDPs camp in Damare in Yola the state capital.
Okorocha, who is the Chairman of the APC governors forum said that the forum had shared the pains of the displaced citizens.
He urges the Adamawa State Government to provide land for his foundation to build a secondary school for the displaced persons.
He however, assured them of return to their ancestoral homes, adding that the Federal Government was working hard to return them to their homes.
“We the progressives governors have shared your pains and that is why we are here to see you and assess your conditions.
“We feel bad as you are refugees in your fathers land but we want to assure you that mr president is committed to end the insecurity and return you to your homes.
“I will request governor Bindow to provide land within two weeks for Rochas foundation to build a secondary school for you.’’
In his remarks Governor Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa said that the APC government is concern about the plight of the electorate.
The Adamawa state governor said that his administration would continue to address the problem of insecurity and ensure adequate care for thye IDPs.
Also speaking Governor Abdurlazees Yari of Zamfara said that the governors would support the president to end the insecurity in the country.
Yari, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum said that the change would impact positively on the lives of the people.
He urged the people to pray for president Mohammadu Buhari to achieve on his mandate.
