The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch ‘A’ Orientation Camp at Tsafe, Zamfara today was turned into a frenzy as mystery snake disrupted today’s passing out parade.
Reports from the News Agency of Nigeria indicate that a snake suspected to have come out of one of the dilapidated buildings in the camp ostensibly in search for food made its way to the platform where special guests were seated during the ceremony.
Some of the corps members ran to safety while others tried to kill the reptile with sticks an other things they could lay their hands on.
In his address, Gov. Abdulaziz Yari pledged that the state government would continue to support security agencies towards strengthening security network of the state.
“Government is also committed to completing the orientation camp and providing all necessary facilities for smooth operations,’’ Yari, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Tijjani Kaura, said.
He commended the decision of the NYSC management to focus on the key areas of education, health, agriculture and basic infrastructure development while posting the corps members.
