“All the 32 teams in the tournament qualified because they are all good teams, so anybody we are paired against we just have to prepare ourselves and that is all,” Keshi said.
The Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, has reiterated the need for Nigerians to have absolute confidence in the national team even as the country gets set to know her opponents at next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
The Big Boss, who was speaking on a sports programme on Brila FM on Monday, said there was no point wishing to avoid particular teams in the draws to be conducted on Friday, December 6 in Rio.
“If Nigeria draws any team, Nigerians still worry. If Nigeria draws Uzbekistan, Nigerians still worry, If Nigeria draws Malta, Nigerians will still worry. The only thing people have to do is to support the (Super Eagles), have confidence in them. It is eleven against eleven, the other opponents will not come with 12 or 13 players but their supporters will be behind them so you people (Nigerians) have to be behind your team.
He said all teams that qualified for the World Cup were good in their right and what was more necessary was for fans to believe in their team.
Coach says Nigerians should not worry about possible opposing teams
From the ordering already released by FIFA, Nigeria has the potential of facing big teams like Spain, Brazil, and Germany amongst others in the Group stage.
