The Nasarawa police has arrested a boy, Shamsudden Ahmed for allegedly killing another on Thursday, February 11 in Mararaba, Nasarawa state.
The state command spokesperson, Umaru Ismalia said the police received a distress call on Thursday at about 7.49 pm that Ahmed had stabbed another boy, Yahuza Usman in the stomach with a knife.
He said the call by Haruna Sani prompted the police to send some team of detectives to the scene of the crime at Mararaba.

“On the receipt of the report, a team of detectives attached to the division quickly mobilized to the scene where they met the victim’s motionless body lying on the ground with a deep cut in his stomach,” Ismalia said.
He said details showed that the boys were involved in a fight when the incident that led to the death of Usman occurred.
Ismalia said the police detectives on arriving the crime scene immediately rushed the victim to the Nigeria Customs Service Medical clinic in Karu, Abuja where Usman was certified dead by a doctor on duty.
He also said the police has commenced investigation into the matter with as the knife said to be used by the suspect was recovered as exhibit.
“The suspect Shamsuddeen Ahmed was arrested and the knife he used in stabbing the deceased was also recovered as exhibit. State CIID is investigating,” he said.
