Budding Afro pop artiste, Ojayy Wright, who is a son to popular actress, Bukky Wright has revealed why he ditched his preferable R&B genre of music for the now popular ‘street music’.
Speaking at a press briefing earlier today, February 17 in Lagos, said he was pressured to do street music because it is what brings money and fame.
“I use to sing more, but at this point in time, everyone is saying it’s the street that is bringing the money so we had to do a club song for the street,” he said.

“I was pressured into this kind of making this kind of song. Like the first day I had issues with this song but we kept going at it. It’s not like I can’t make it, but it’s not just my style. I’m the kind of person that loves to get out of my comfort zone, this is one of it but generally, in music, you have to be able to diversify.”
Asked what will happen to his R&B side: “I have a lot of songs, it’s a process. Like my next single now, it’s totally different from this, it’s the R&B you are looking for and I have been able to tune it down to Nigerian sound,” he added.
