The number of casualties from the bomb blast which occurred early this morning at Nyanya bus park in Abuja have continued to rise as reports say over 78 bodies have been deposited at the National Hospital in the Federal Capital Territory.
Reports say many of those brought in to the hospital are already dead.
Twenty seven victims are currently in the hospital’s emergency ward receiving treatment. Most of them are with varying injuring ranging from severe cuts to burns resulting from the massive explosion.
The deceased persons were said to have been burnt beyond recognition. More dead bodies are still being expected.
President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased ordering heightened security in Abuja and its environs.
